Kavli-PARADIM Summer Sabbatical Fellowship Program
Overview
PARADIM invites faculty and researchers from underrepresented groups in STEM fields for an immersive experience in materials discovery at the Platform. The Kavli-PARADIM Fellowship enables extensive visits of faculty and their students to PARADIM sites to perform research in PARADIM User Facilities and to make lasting connections with PARADIM faculty, scientists, and graduate students.
The program’s specific goal is to engage participants from underrepresented minorities (URM), URM-serving institutions, HBCUs and non-PWIs, and to foster and strengthen their connection to PARADIM. In addition to longer full summer and sabbatical visits, this program will also bring faculty to Cornell for short research visits (2–4-week period) to learn details of the PARADIM facilities and develop their research project, which will be externally reviewed.
The anticipated support for participants will include stipends ($1,000-$1,300 per week) and expenses for reasonable round-trip travel up to $1,000 will be reimbursed.
