1st JHU Summer School on Materials Growth and Design
Johns Hopkins University |
|
We held the first JHU summer school on the growth and design of bulk crystalline materials in July 2016. The school featured a combination of hands-on experience and lectures by internationally recognized crystal growth specialists, and covered a range of topics including: the history of crystal growth and its applications, the floating zone and Bridgeman crystal growth methods, the modeling of material processings, and the characterization of defects in real materials. |
Confirmed Speakers (agenda below)
- Prof. Robert S. Feigelson
- Prof. Jeffrey J. Derby
- Prof. Jack A. Goncalo
- Dr. Geetha Balakrishnan
- Prof. Tyrel McQueen
